Kitara Queens have earned promotion to the FUFA Women Elite League after defeating Buheesi WFC 1-0 in the Kitara Region Women’s Play-Off Final held on Saturday at Muhooro BCS Playground in Kagadi District.
The decisive goal came in the 13th minute through Jane Katusabe, whose early strike proved enough to hand Kitara Queens both the victory and the regional championship trophy.
Kitara Queens reached the final after finishing top of the Albert Group, while Buheesi WFC qualified as leaders of the Edward Group. The two champions met at the neutral venue in Muhooro to determine the overall regional winner.
Following a disciplined and determined performance, Kitara Queens emerged victorious, lifting the trophy and sealing their place in the FUFA Women Elite League.
