StarTimes Uganda Premier League:
Match Day 4 fixture:
3 -Oct- 2024:
Kitara FC π Police FC
4pm
Royals Park Stadium- Butema
Coming from aΒ 2-0 loss away at KCCA in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League last Friday, Kitara FC is at the Royals Park Stadium in Butema on Thursday at 4pm, in another thrilling league encounter against Police FC.
Kitara go into this game following two straight defeats to NEC and KCCA and find themselves among the bottom five placed teams on the log.
Playing their second match at home means they must not only win but to also lift their morale and confidence before heading into the international break.

Police FC on the other hand won’t be an easy task having not lost any of their previous three matches. They have drawn with BUL, Mbarara City and Bright Stars.
Nonetheless, Simon Mugerwa is aware of the danger his opponents posses and will approach this game cautiously.
Coach’s remarks:
” We come into this game off disappointing results but we picked some lessons which we hope to carry into the next game and try to overturn the deficit we suffered against NEC,” Brian Ssenyondo said.
“Going forward, we want to build on that and bounce back with a satisfying performance. We know our opponents will also come motivated but we have been working on our defence and finishing and expect a better game this time round.”
“Also, the title chase is not over after these two losses, we are still working towards our target this season. We are making steady progress and believe our objectives are still attainable,” he promised.

Previous meetings:
It’s the fifth time since 2022/23 that the two sides will be meeting in the league. The visitors have a 2W, 1D and 1L record.
The Royals have won one, drawn one also lost two matches with their only victory being a solitary Moses Sseruyidde free kick strike at Kigaaya playground.
