As the 2025/26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season draws to a close, Kitara FC welcome Police FC to the Royals Park in Butema for our final fixture this Saturday, 23rd May. Kick off is set for 3pm.
The Royals go into the match aiming to complete a league double over our opponents, having secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture earlier in the season thanks to goals from Patrick Kaddu and Isaac Amutuhaire.
Both sides head into the encounter on the back of identical 1-1 draws in midweek. Kitara shared the points with BUL FC on Tuesday, while Police were held by Entebbe UPPC.
Finishing the campaign on a high in front of our passionate home supporters is a top priority for the team. A positive result would also provide the perfect boost in morale and confidence ahead of next Saturday’s major Stanbic Uganda Cup final against SC Villa.
Having secured a fourth place finish, the Royals have already guaranteed their place in next season’s prestigious FUFA Super 8 tournament; a testament to the squad’s consistent progress.
Our home form has been a particular highlight this season. The Royals Park has become a fortress, with just one defeat (a narrow 0-1 loss to NEC FC) in 14 league matches here. With 10 wins and 3 draws, our home record shows a remarkable improvement from last season, where we suffered four defeats on our own turf.
