Kitara FC will host Bunyaruguru United FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup last 16. The draw, held at FUFA Complex Mengo this morning, set up the tie.
Kitara, having eliminated fellow top-flight side Entebbe UPPC FC, aims to continue their cup run at Royals Park Butema next week between 16th-18th of March. The winner advances to the quarter-finals.
Bunyaruguru United reached this stage with a 1-0 win over regional league side Amus at Nyamambuka ground. Currently sixth in the FUFA Big League, they trail leaders Ntungasaze FC by four points and are targeting their first-ever quarter-final appearance.
The eventual Stanbic Uganda Cup winner will represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup later this year.
